From Trello passion to side hustle: The story of How I Trello with Brittany Joiner

Are you ready to take your Trello game to the next level? Look no further than Brittany, the Trello expert and community builder extraordinaire. She's been using Trello for over 6 years to organize her own projects and build a community of fellow Trello enthusiasts. In fact, she’s found and contributed so much value to the tool that she has built her own newsletter on it, with an audience growing by the day. Learn about her journey as a creator →

As a creator, Brittany wears many hats. By day, she works as the Head of Developer Relations for a small tech startup. But in her free time, she’s a Trello expert, community builder, and content creator extraordinaire.

For the past 6 years, Brittany has been using Trello to organize her own projects, and over time, she’s become something of a semi-influencer in the Trello space. Her contributions to the platform haven’t gone unnoticed: she was invited to become a contributor to the Atlassian blog, where she shares her tips and tricks for using the tool to maximum effect.

But Brittany didn’t stop there. She wanted a central hub where she could regularly share the things she was doing with Trello, and so she started her own newsletter. She was happy with the Atlassian blog, but she quickly realized that she preferred the informative, roundup-style newsletters that she was receiving from Substack. So she switched things up and started sending out her own newsletter, which featured tips and tricks for using Trello, as well as updates on new features and use cases.

Brittany made an interesting discovery in her audience- namely, that the people who came to her for advice were already using Trello, and she wanted to continue to provide value to them. So she started writing in more detail about the tool itself, instead focusing on its advanced features and capabilities in a way that assumed that her audience already knows the basics of what Trello is and how to use it.

One thing Brittany is particularly passionate about is the visual nature of Trello. In her words, Trello is a platform that allows you to “create digital whiteboards with supercharged sticky notes”. What often goes unnoticed is the pure power behind something as flexible as a tool like Trello, and Brittany is here to help her audience realize just how much impact the tool could make in their everyday operations, and overall lives.

Of course, growing a community takes time and effort. Brittany has put in countless hours creating content for her newsletter, recording videos for her YouTube channel, and answering questions from her followers. She’s even hosted virtual events, partnering with other Trello power-ups to demonstrate fun and creative use cases for the tool.

There are also a fair share of challenges during the journey of a creator. Brittany sometimes struggles with finding the time to create content, and on occasion finds herself getting distracted by new and exciting ideas. She’s also trying to figure out how to monetize her work, balancing her desire to create valuable content with her amazing day job.

Still, Brittany remains committed to building her community and sharing her passion for Trello with others. She loves the way that the platform allows her to connect with people from all over the world, and she’s always excited to learn about new and creative ways that people are using the tool.

As for her future plans, Brittany has a lot of ideas. She wants to continue to grow her community, and she’s always on the lookout for new and innovative ways to engage with her followers. She’s also interested in exploring other platforms and tools that might help her to better serve her audience.

But no matter what the future holds, one thing is certain: Brittany’s passion for Trello isn’t going anywhere. She loves the way that the tool allows her to organize her thoughts and ideas, and she’s always excited to share her knowledge with others. Whether she’s answering questions on YouTube or sending out her newsletter on Thursday mornings, Brittany is always looking for new and exciting ways to help people get the most out of Trello.

So if you’re looking for a Trello expert who’s passionate about the tool and committed to building a supportive and innovative audience of aficionados, don’t hesitate to reach out!
